Bhubaneswar, Feb 7: The Union government on Friday notified the elevation of Supreme Court lawyer Sanjeeb Panigrahi as the judge of the Orissa High Court. The moves after the Supreme Court Collegium recommended his elevation to the government.

According to the notification issued, his appointment will come into existence since the day he joins office. Panigrahi is working in the SC as the advocate-on-record and deals with many cases relating to Odisha. He is also known for writing many columns in national dailies in English as well as in Odia.
