From Koraput Hills to London Streets: Odisha’s Kruti Coffee Goes Global

TBN, 21/08/2026: Kruti Coffee, a speciality coffee brand originally established to revive neglected tribal coffee farms in Koraput, Odisha, has opened its first international cafe on Tooting High Street in South London. The launch marks the beginning of the company’s global expansion to showcase Indian speciality coffee to a wider international audience.

The London outlet’s opening follows the arrival of the brand’s first coffee shipment from Kolkata, enabled by the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement. The cafe offers manual brewing options alongside espresso-based beverages crafted from Kruti Coffee’s signature 100 percent Arabica blend. Customers can access single-origin coffees, seasonal microlots, and curated blends, including its award-winning Kindiriguda Naturals coffee, which received the Best Arabica Naturals title at the World Coffee Conference’s Fine Cup Award.

Founded in 2013 as a farm-to-cup social impact venture, Kruti Coffee sources its beans through partnerships with Indian coffee growers and roasts them at its Bhubaneswar facility according to Specialty Coffee Association standards. The choice of London for the brand’s overseas debut reflects the city’s established coffee culture and strong market for speciality coffee. The launch event was attended by British Indian parliamentarians, community leaders, and the brand’s head roaster and barista
