Bhubaneswar, Mar 22: Odisha government on Sunday barred movement of inter-state buses for indefinite period in the state citing threat of spread of infection due to Coromavirus. This also comes at a time when the state has announced lock down till March 29.

As per the new notification, neither any state can venture out of the state nor any bus from other state can enter our state. In a notification issued by the office of the Transport Commissioner, it was said, “COVID 19 has become pandemic and the whole world is affected by the deadly virus. There is no specific treatment or vaccine till now for COVID 19 and only precaution of the highest degrees is required to decelerate the spread of COVID 10,”

As per the directions of the office all interstate bus operation to and from Odisha will remain suspended till further orders. Inter-state buses coming from other states will not be allowed to reach their destination in Odisha after 11am from March 23. Similarly no inter-state bus will be allowed to operate to other state from Odisha after 11am from March 23.

The Railway Board has already declared closure of all Passenger Trains with immediate effect and up to midnight of March 31. The trains en-route shall be allowed to reach their destination however.

We are a bunch of like-minded people from the media who came forward to build a niche where important news affecting the people at large could be covered independently. This website has been envisioned to be a one stop centre for stories on different facets of the society which should ideally get space in the media but due to several reasons the mainstream media do not give them ample space. This website is trying to build that void. We are trying to report from the important developments from the eastern India with special focus on Odisha, West Bengal and the North East. This website was founded by some senior, mid and new budding journalists to cater to the needs of consumers of digital media which is unbiased, non dependent on government ads for survival and dare to report on the issues which should get ample space in the media and spark debate and discussions in the society. We have our representatives in New Delhi, Odisha, West Bengal, Chattisgarh and North East to cater to the needs of people from their region which are otherwise shunned by the national media. We have our head office at Bhubaneswar in Odisha
